Mehmet Silahsız, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nevi Mobilya A.Ş., a leading company in the furniture industry, was elected to the Board of Directors of the Furniture and Bedding Manufacturers Association (MOYSAD) during the General Assembly meeting held on December 5, 2024. Mehmet Silahsız will represent Çankırı among the leading companies and brands in the national and global furniture industry.
Founded in October 2021 by leading brands in the sector, MOYSAD has embraced development and progress as its core principle in one of Turkey's most prominent industries—furniture.
With nearly 40,000 manufacturers, over 65,000 businesses, and a market size exceeding $10 billion, MOYSAD stands out as an innovative association in the furniture sector, providing employment to more than 500,000 people. The association aims to make a global impact with its forward-thinking approach.
MOYSAD seeks not only to lead but also to represent the industry. Its primary goal is to enable its members and the entire sector to become significant players in the international arena in furniture and bedding production. The association's ultimate objective is to position Turkey among the world’s top five countries in furniture production and export.
MOYSAD’s membership includes over 20 major companies and more than 30 brands, such as Nevi Mobilya, Adore, Alfemo, Bellona, By Kepi, Casa, Çetmen, Çilek, Divanev, Doğtaş, Enza, Fatih Kıral, Gündoğdu, İstikbal, İşbir, Kelebek, Kilim, Konfor, Lova Yatak, Modalife, Mondi, Rapsodi, Vize, Yataş, Yatsan, and Zebrano.
A common feature of MOYSAD members is that they account for more than 50% of the Turkish furniture market in terms of exports, production, and revenue. They also prioritize registering and institutionalizing the sector.
